Flat pattern scale checker

Have you ever received a part that was machined with the wrong scale? We sure have.

To prevent costly mistakes like these, we added a sheet scale checker to Drew.

When you have a sheet with only a flat pattern, Drew verifies two things:

1. That the sheet uses a 1:1 scale
2. That the view uses the sheet scale

If one of these checks fails, you will see this red exclamation mark:

You see a friendly green check mark when the check is successful.

How to fix the scale

We added a button to fix the sheet scale and the flat pattern scale. Click it and we’ll fix the settings to make sure the sheet passes both of our tests.
