How to install Lightning
Install the add-in
Installing Lightning is very easy:
- Close SOLIDWORKS
- Download the installer here: https://staging.cadbooster.com/lightning/
- Double-click the .MSI file to start the installer
- Click Next
- Wait a few seconds and you’re done
- Start SOLIDWORKS
You need to be an admin on your PC to be able to install SOLIDWORKS add-ins. More about that here.
Set up your settings
Setting up Lightning takes 10-60 minutes, depending on your fastener library. We have a great settings wizard, which we explain in Settings: each step explained.
If you have purchased our Fastener Models, setting up Lightning is automated for 99%.
