How to fix license issues

If you have license issues or if your license is acting strangely, first open the license manager.

You can open this window via Tools > Lightning > License Key:

Or click the License Key button in the Lightning toolbar:

The home page of the license manager window looks like this:

Now, click Fix license issues.

First, try the Reload button. Lightning now asks the license server for the latest version of the license. This usually fixes things.

If that doesn’t work, press Deactivate to remove the entire license from your PC and to remove the activation from our server.

Don’t worry, your paid license is safe. You only have to activate your license again.
